First all, as you may know I got a job recently aaaaaand I’m sick! Yaiiii! So, I’m sorry if this is not going to be a long (or good post), but I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed at this point XD This way, instead of doing the honorable characters, I’m just going to present just one. Also, probably when I’m back at my feet I will read this and think “How the hell didn’t I remember this guy, or that guy”… So guys, comment down below you favorite protagonist in video games! I always love to remember so good scenes, characters while reading your comments!
So, from what I’ve researched, contrary to antagonists that is who does things contrary to the story, the protagonist needs to be the main character. This is a problem… Why? Because I tend to like more of the ones that are also main characters, but not considered the “Protagonist”… My pick is [THERE ARE SPOILERS]:
Tidus – Final Fantasy X
Well, of course there was going to be a Final Fantasy in here! Well, I love Tidus the most because, first I think is the one who has the most character evolution throughout the game, secondly I really love his personality and three he does the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone.
Tidus starts as this self-centered guy, that think he’s the best because of being a Blitzball star, open mouth and a little stupid (maybe really stupid), but at the same time a good person. His character develops strongly throughout the story (mainly because of Yuna I think) to the point that in the end he is so selfless that he sacrifices himself to save everyone and kill Sin.

Arthifis' Place 
Tidus is a great character who, as you say, undergoes a lot of development over the course of FFX. He’s a bit underappreciated by people who don’t want to read more deeply into the story, I find; the most common scene that people misunderstand is the now-notorious “laughing scene”, which is a lot more effective than people give it credit for.
A lot of Final Fantasy characters fall into that mould, actually; Squall from FFVIII is another great example that people misunderstand frequently, assuming he’s just a sullen, miserable angsty teen when in fact the story as a whole reveals him to be much more complex and interesting.
That’s the trouble with a series getting popular, though — you end up with people judging things about it without taking the time to do a bit of research!

Yeah you are completely feel that about Saquall, which for me is like my second favorite protagonist from all the final fantasy series.
Yeah you are right! Although I don’t understand how people cannot see the character evolution while playing the game!

Feel better soon. Having been sick quite recently with the flu myself, I know how annoying this can be. Great choice by the way. I really loved Final Fantasy X especially because of the cool characters. I think my favorite protagonist is Master Chief from Halo. I just really like that character. 😊

When I saw the challenge for this day I immediately though of Halo… Although I never played xD probably because it is one of those characters that is loved by the majority!

True, Master Chief really is loved by many…which is pretty strange even, especially as there is still so much mystery for that character 😊
